I’m happy to say that our 6 week Lean & Clean Challenge ended, but for the participants, this was just the beginning to a new and fresh way of seeing their health and fitness. Let me start by saying this was not a weight loss competition. The ‘Challenge’ was more autonomous, and pushed my clients to dig a little deeper into their overall health and wellbeing. Our primary focus was on learning and practicing foundational nutrition principles, increasing their physical activity and intensity, as well as being mindful in the other areas of their lives that have the biggest impact on their overall happiness.

I provided a manual with thorough explanations of these foundations, broken down into buildable steps, so someone that’s brand new to this kind of lifestyle or someone much further along can easily follow the same program. Weekly trackers for establishing new habits are included as well as recipes(a lot of recipes), workouts, and food journals. Laying the groundwork before we take their training and nutrition to the next level is paramount. How many people do you know, and possibly yourself, have done a ‘quick fix’, how much weight can you lose in 30 days, just drink these smoothies, take this supplement, low fat, low carb, no meat, more meat, diet plans? I see it all the time, and it always sounds promising, but there’s a reason for that, and it’s because people want instant gratification. We allow ourselves to Believe that all that it would take is a smoothie and a supplement, and BAM we’ll have it all together. This program simplifies all the nonsense out there, and allows you the freedom to use our tools to create what works BEST for YOU, in your life, with your circumstances. We met each week for private accountability meetings, so I could take the time required to understand each of my clients needs, goals, and how to best support them. It takes commitment to yourself and to the process, but what you’ll learn could change your relationship with food and fitness forever. The intention behind this program is to teach my clients that you can attain a weight goal, a fitness goal, and simply a healthier more mindful lifestyle that is sustainable!

I was excited to work with our 6 clients that were committed to these changes. It was incredible to see their level of enthusiasm to do their best in this program. I encouraged them to come to class a minimum of 4 max of 6 days each week, and they rose to the challenge! Showing up to class is one thing, but giving it everything you’ve got, or like my coaches would say, ‘ Leave it all on the floor’, is an entirely different mindset. Their commitment to learning our nutrition principles, and changing the way they see food, was, and always has been with my clients, the biggest transformation. Until you understand how the food you eat affects you, what foods help/hurt your goals, and why you eat the way you do currently, it’s very difficult to change, and make those positive decisions a true habit. My clients saw great results physically, losing weight and inches(our Winner lost 18lbs + 5.5 inches-go Victoria!), building physical and mental strength, as well as gaining a real understanding about food, and the impact other areas of their lives affect their relationship with food( stress, not enough sleep, relationships, career, etc.).

I’m excited to say we’re running this program again; with a few updates, and bonuses! Starting April 9 – May 21. The program is broken down into teams, each with a team captain who already has completed the program! She will be another pillar of support along with me as you go through these 6 weeks. Each week, you’ll meet with me for our one on one nutrition/accountability consultation, as well as an optional TEAM meeting each week to share best practices, successes, challenges, wherever the conversation takes us! Along with the meetings, you’ll receive 2 manuals, at home workouts, and some goodies! This challenge is customized individually with the bonus of having a team around you to keep you accountable, encourage you to try new things, and be surrounded by motivating, positive people.
